This beautiful carved Tagua Kuripe is handmade by an Ecuadorian artist who lives in the Chimborazo province.

Tagua, also known as vegetable ivory, is the seed (‘nut’) of a South American palm tree (Phytelephas).

The length of the stems is ca. 4 cm to 5 cm.
